The main fan is one of the key pieces of equipment for safe production in coal mines, especially in high-gas coal mines, where it plays a vital role in removing toxic gases from the mine and supplying fresh air.
The main and backup main fans need to be switched once a month for preventive maintenance. Traditional main fans, during the brief interruption of airflow caused by switching (ventilation system instability), can easily lead to exceeding gas limits in high-gas outburst mines, posing a safety risk.
The AHKJ type mine main fan non-stop switching system (hereinafter referred to as the non-stop switching system), based on the concept of hot standby for ventilation fans, ensures a continuous supply of ventilation power during the switching process. It features automatic non-stop switching of the main mine fan, "one-button" operation, unattended operation, and automatic identification of fan malfunctions.
Through the monitoring and control system, the logic control quickly opens or closes the airlock, achieving rapid switching of the fans. This reduces the impact on the ventilation system during switching from a traditional "system shutdown" to "airflow fluctuation." The switching time is reduced from the current five or ten minutes to 40 seconds or less.
The application of the non-stop switching system prevents gas accumulation and exceeding gas limits in the mine due to ventilation interruption during traditional switching, eliminating safety hazards. Simultaneously, it saves time lost in traditional switching methods, creating significant social and economic benefits.
